Petanque
For those that are unsure exactly what Pétanque is.....
Pétanque is a form of boules where the goal is to throw weighted metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (jack).
The game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel whilst standing with your feet together in a small circle, but can also be played on grass or other surfaces.
Pétanque is great fun but can also be extremely competitive; the league players playing at The Uckfield Club are proof of this.
