The Committee Members give of their time voluntarily to, with the help of the Bar Steward and the team of bar staff, keep The Uckfield Club operating efficiently and aim to provide the events and services that the Members want in the club. The photo above shows a few of the current Committee Members.The Committee consists of a Main Committee that meets once a month but also has 3 sub-committees (that also meet once a month) that focus on specific areas of the club's operations and these are as follow: HOUSE COMMITTEEDeals with the general upkeep of the club, inside and out from the replacement of missing tiles on the roof to repairing a blocked drain and carrying out repairs to the premises at any given time. Also makes recommendations to the main committee for improvements to the club.Members: Brian Graham, Dave Driver, Bob Bishop, Jim Ramsey, Danny Pettitt, Steve CaveyBAR AND FINANCEDeals with the costs of purchases for stock behind the bar, meetings with brewery and other reps and daily running costs, and generally ensuring that savings are achieved in any direction for the club.Members: Jim Ramsey, Dave Cole, Dave Driver, Brian Graham, Danny Pettitt, Steve CaveySPORTS AND SOCIALDeals with the organisation of all of the sports and social events that are held in the club, including the booking of live bands, maintaining the notice board displays, organising club competitions, creating and updating the club website and placing advertisements in the local press and elsewhere.Members: Christine Gladman, Zoe Crowhurst, Rob Thomas, Danny Pettitt, Brenda Stanley, Steve Cavey, Dee Pilbeam
