RAY STANLEY

It is with great sadness that Ray Stanley, a much loved and highly regarded and respected member, trustee and former Chairman of The Uckfield Club, passed away on Saturday, 7th November 2009 aged 62, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ray was held in such high esteem by everyone at The Uckfield Club and indeed most of the Uckfield community that The Function Room was officially renamed as The Ray Stanley Room at the Celebration of his Life on Thursday 19th November 2009.  A plaque commemorating Ray's outstanding service to The Uckfield Club was also unveiled on the day and is situated on the wall to the right as you enter The Ray Stanley Room.
